- Make it concrete: Use real examples—money, cooking, time, distances.
- Use support wisely: Ask a friend, use a calculator, use AI, use notes. Support isn’t cheating; it’s scaffolding.
- Celebrate clarity, not speed: Understanding is the win. Speed comes later, if it comes at all.
Math isn’t a moral test. It’s a tool. And you’re allowed to learn tools without being punished for being human.
